About the property

You can walk downtown for dinner at one of the five star restaurants that line Castro street, or stop in for a quick meal at a family restaurant. The interior has been restored with the best of materials, crown molding, wood floors, custom tiles and granite. The most up to date appliances have been used. The bathrooms have large, comfortable showers. With a flat screen TV and satellite in the family room. The house is decorated with my own collection of antiques and prize finds from my years as an interior designer, including a unique handmade telephone stand from Korea. The house is within walking distance of so many fantastic cafes, restaurants, bakery stores and grocery shopping. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and patio doors, walk-in closet, and spacious bathroom with a ten-jet shower and Jacuzzi bathtub. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed, and shared bathroom with bathtub and separate enclosed shower. The third bedroom has two twin beds and a shared bathroom. The spacious front room, which is entirely removed from the rest of the house, has a queen-sized Murphy bed. The garage is tiled and finished, and contains a convertible sofa bed. It is lightly heated but not insulated, so this is most useful in the summer months. While the California sun pours across the kitchen table through the picture window, you'll be trying to decide how to spend your day - though you may be sorely tempted to stay at home and enjoy your sanctuary. The Bay Area beckons with its abundance of activities and entertainment. After your day, wind down with a glass of wine on the private patio. If you're energetic, you might go for a stroll on the nearby scenic Stevens Creek Trail. If you prefer the privacy and grace of having your own space, this may the perfect place for you and your family to spend your vacation. Gourmet food is readily available, whether you want to cook it yourself in our kitchen - equipped by a gourmet cook herself - or order in from Cascal, Pasta?, Zucca's, or any of the other fine restaurants down the street. A reservation is confirmed upon receipt of initial payment via Visa/Mastercard. 50% of total rental and cleaning fee is payable upon booking. Balance is due 21 days PRIOR to arrival date. Reservations made less than 21 days before arrival require full payment upon booking. Home instructions are issued after full payment has been received. CANCELLATION/REFUND: If property is re-rented to another party, at the same rate, for the same period, all monies will be refunded less 10% transaction fee. No refunds will be made if the property is not rented for the reserved period.
