HISTORIC ROCK ISLAND DEPOT The Rock Island Depot building was built around 1903 by the Choctaw, Oklahoma and Western Railroad. By about 1905 it was operated by the Chicago, Rock Island, and Pacific Railroad. After the railroad was closed to this location, it was later operated as the Eaton Feed & Seed Company. They constructed a wood frame grain elevator to the north of the building. The Eaton Company eventually went out of business and the building has since been vacant for approximately 25 years.
